Hello! My name is Amy, I'm a KACAHM (knit and crochet at home mom). I live on a little "farmette" in Washington with my husband of almost twelve years, two wonderful little boys, two goofy dogs and four chickens. I learned to crochet when I was a little girl from my beloved late Grandma Howard. The love she put in everything she made was evident, and I hope the same can be said of my work. While I've been working with yarn since I was about eight, I really got serious about going "beyond squares and rectangles" when I had surgery almost 3 years ago and had to stay put for SIX WEEKS. What I thought would be a season of torturous boredom ended up being a season of discovery! I haven't quit since.
About a year ago, I learned to knit from my husband's cousin, who isn't much older than I was when I started crocheting. I love both mediums! I think they both have something special to offer, and you'll often find that I love combining them in my work. I love just about every type of fiber art medium, but baby items are by far my favorite!! From hats to booties and all points in between, babies are so much fun to dress and accessorize! My hope is that all my customers would feel they have received quality items they would be proud to wear or display at a price the average mom can afford. I'm not in this to make a fortune, just enough to have some "mommy time" at my two favorite places - yarn shops and Starbucks!
Well children and animals are running amok, so I think I will close this letter by thanking you for stopping by my store! Whether it's a baby gift, a cat bed, a dishtowel or a custom creation you need, I hope you'll shop at Amy's Baby Crochet first! My items for sale will be constantly changing, so come by often and feel free to request an item you would like if you don't see it! And lastly, I'd like to thank you on behalf of WAHM's everywhere for supporting us! Warm fuzzies from my house to yours,
